We offer multiple branches of health and wellness care

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is a patient-centred, non-invasive, hands-on, regulated health care that is focused on your spine, muscles, joints and nervous system. We treat you without medication or surgery to prevent pain from returning. Chiropractic care can also promote health and improve your quality of life, as well as alleviate pain.

Adjustments and Mobilizations

Some patients who have sensitive nervous systems, osteoporosis, arthritis, obesity, other health issues, or fear of default chiropractic techniques may prefer gentle mobilization adjustments instead. Mild spinal mobilization techniques do not involve twisting the body or forceful thrust - rather it uses a slow movement to mobilize the joint.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is designed to speed up the healing process by stimulating your cells to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively. Laser therapy paired with chiropractic care is an effective treatment that can manage pain levels, stimulate nerve regeneration and ease inflammation to help patients heal from injuries or chronic pain.

Muscle Release Therapy

Whether it’s a sport injury or you work at a desk all day, you learn to live with minor discomfort. Muscle release therapy can target those restricted areas caused by chronic and acute pain. The benefits of MRT are that soft tissue can be corrected using non-invasive methods. Scar tissue can be broken down, and rebuilt to optimize function in the body.

Prenatal Treatments

Chiropractic care can help lay the groundwork for both healthy development and the parent’s well-being. A chiropractor’s ability to realign your ligaments, muscles surrounding the pelvis, and relieve lower back pain can have a positive impact on your pregnancy. This can help ease the discomfort that goes along with being pregnant. The assistance of a chiropractor in the later stages of pregnancy, can also help turn breech babies.

Naturopaths also help to create individualized health plans for mothers during pregnancy by providing them with nutritional guidance, exercise regimes, and supplements. While the help of a naturopath is designed to prevent pregnancy complications (such as ensuring you have enough iron to deliver vaginally), they also help to protect against post-partum complications as well, such as post-partum mood disorders.

Soft Tissue Therapy

This form of therapy can help with your pain, function and overall musculoskeletal health. It’s useful for patients who suffer from poor posture, traumatic injury, strain or sprain from a specific activity. Soft tissue therapy helps to reduce inflammation, prevent further injury, reduce spasm, increase circulation and correct abnormal posture.

Custom Orthotics

Orthotics help control abnormal alignment of the foot and ankle joints. They can relieve symptoms associated with flat feet, high arches, plantar fasciitis, arthritis and more. Orthotics use biomechanical devices made from precise neutral position foot molds, and are made using the Orthogenic iPad Scanner, which is non-weight bearing 3D volumetric cast in subtalar neutral using an infrared structured light scanner. Custom orthotics made at Goddard Chiropractic will include the biomechanical exam, gait analysis, and casting.

Naturopathy

Naturopathic medicine is an alternative system that uses natural remedies to help the body heal itself and discover the root cause of an illness. It embraces many therapies, including herbs, cupping therapy, acupuncture, exercise, hydrotherapy and nutritional counseling to name a few.  Along with these modalities, our Naturopathic doctor also offers detailed diet analysis, customized meal plans and supplement list assessment. They may also use touch, such as massage and pressure, to create balance in your body. This is called naturopathic manipulative therapy.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the practitioner's hands or with electrical stimulation.

These needles are placed on acupuncture points, which help to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes then stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.

Studies have shown that acupuncture is effective for a variety of conditions whether it pertains to mental, digestive, neurological, respiratory and much more.

Facial Acupuncture

Facial Acupuncture cosmetic treatment is an extension of traditional acupuncture. It is designed as a safer alternative to surgery or Botox to naturally help make the skin look younger, smoother, and all-around healthier.

Unlike injection procedures, facial acupuncture addresses not only signs of aging, but also the skin’s overall health. The acupuncture points will help stimulate your lymphatic and circulatory system, which work together to deliver nutrients and oxygen to your skin cells, nourishing skin from the inside out.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is a form of alternative medicine which dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese and Middle Eastern culture. The therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction, the benefits of which include: help with pain, migraines, anxiety, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and as a type of deep-tissue massage. Cupping is fairly safe as long as you go to a trained health professional.
